About Me
My name is Ray Groshan and I am a second-year Computational Linguistics MS student at CU Boulder in the LECS Lab. I will be joining the LARA Lab at UMBC in the fall as a Computer Science Ph.D. student.
I describe my research interests as multimodal ML for neurodivergence. Specifically, I am interested in working on:
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- NLP for assistive tech
- Gamifying treatment of cognitive-communication disorders and oculomotor dysfunction post-brain injury
- Medical self advocacy
Outside of academia, you will find me playing video games or tabletop games, bird watching, or volunteering in wildlife rehab.
